That is why I joined the fun and wondered about golfing abilities and other such "concerns" unrelated to arguments for and against the teaching of Science or mythology in Science class. I see where you are coming from: You are concerned that one cannot be "authoritative" unless one is religious? Do you mean that? I guess I would hold a completely different opinion. I would rather think that clear and reliable thinking on what ought to be taught in a Science class would be exhibited by one steeped in Mythology, World Religions, Education, and of course (and most importantly)--SCIENCE! 2MAR$ seems to have some familiarity in all these fields. Certainly, one need not be a Muslim to be studied in the religion and to form strong opinions. I believe I have heard rather strong opinions voiced by you?? One need not be a Christian White Supremacist to consider the impact of these people in our communities. Anyhow--perhaps 2MAR$ is merely annoyed at you and suspects (from some of your past comments) that you mean to insinuate unsavoury things about his character in order to demonise him? Hopefully, you would never stoop to such a thing. But perhaps I can assist your curiosity? I have noticed for years that 2MAR$ has always revered good and great people such as Einstein and Epictetus--while finding great things to admire in humanism and humanists. He expresses these values pretty much on a daily basis: a real benevolence and respect for the world and its people. Not that this is "religious", but many people are not religious--right. I appreciate that he values human rights and freedoms and always celebrates the diversity of people! If his only "crime" is not giving money to one of the 40,000 Christian sects, then I forgive him wholeheartedly! Anyway--enough about him! What do you believe? Honestly--please share. How old is the earth? I have not hidden a single one of my beliefs from this thread. Can horses fly? I say, NO. Not unless they have a ticket!
