Kobani isn't the Turk border. Simply near it. I trust you have seen the Turkish wall of Tanks at their border. The air power is nearly without affect without forward observers to identify targets. Even the A-10 Warthogs which have the ability to fly slower over the targeting areas cannot make certain identification of targets by sight.
