COV.v: Last quarter's results represented a lull as Covalon's new partner took over sales and marketing for their antimicrobial products (SurgiClear and IV Clear) under their new brand label (Mepitel Film AM & Mepitel Film IV AM). Covalon's 3rd quarter ended June 30th and this link shows Molnlycke had just "debuted" the new products at the WOCN conference on June 21st-25th:
wocnconference.com

Considering that was less than 8 months after signing of the licensing agreement, it actually shows impressive execution in obtaining the FDA marketing clearance, re-branding, and relabeling IMO. Molnlycke has set up dedicated websites for the new antimicrobial products here:
mepitelfilmam.com
mepitelfilmivam.com

So while last quarter's results were clearly disappointing to some investors, as the stock chart shows; I think the longer term view over six months or TTM actually shows a very positive trend. Even excluding the $3.5 Million up front licensing fee from Molnlycke, the company is showing healthy double digit sales growth and their current single digit P/E presents a good value buying opportunity for the long run IMO.

Given that Covalon was no longer selling their antimicrobial dressings last quarter as they were in the prior year, their wound care sales results may actually show quite a positive trend for the own Collagen dressing line sales (ColActive & ColActive Plus Ag).

Coincidentally, Covalon has recently updated their website to show their medical suppliers, which shows edgepark Medical Supplies carries Covalon's products as "RECOMMENDED":
