Looks like the selling pressure has eased up on SKB.

Hope the market stays positive.

KCI awarded $2.25 million contract

Good morning to you all. Please find enclosed the latest press release by King Communications - KCI.V. We have been saying for quite a while that King will be one of our better performers in 1998 and releases such as this one can only serve to bolster that outlook.

Particular attention should be paid to the fact this contract was awarded by the largest single ambulance service in the world, as well as, a joint effort with American TriTech, one of the premier American companies providing computer aided dispatch software to American public safety agencies. These two factors would lead us to believe that KCI has gone a long way to further improving it's position with respect to the multi-billion dollar U.S. tender due to be awarded in mid-January.

We do not expect KCI or any party to secure the complete tender but we do expect KCI, as one of the few companies in the world able to offer the necessary products, to secure their fair share of the tender.

We believe that fundamentals such as this can not be ignored. At current prices, KCI has a market cap of only $5-6 million, which we consider extremely low for a revenue generating firm such as them. Currently, their exists plenty of opportunity to participate in the .35 level as tax-loss selling continues with KCI. Any positions taken at these levels should be prepared to be held for the next 3-6 months, when KCI enters the heaviest part of their selling season. With these kind of contracts being awarded, KCI is right on track to hit their $35,000,000 target for fiscal 1998.

News Release

Mr Frank Eccles reports
The company has been awarded the mobile data systems contract for the Ambulance Service of New South Wales (Australia). Under the terms of the contract as the preferred solution, Kings KDT5000 Advanced Mobile Data Systems will be supplied, installed and commissioned for use by the Ambulance Service of NSW. Total value of the order is A$2,250,000.

The Ambulance Service of NSW is the largest single ambulance service in the world, covering an area of eight million sq km. King will install its KDT5000 mobile data terminal system including GPS receivers in each of the 1,100 ambulances in the fleet.

The company's success in this project is the result of several months of joint effort with American TriTech, one of the premier American companies providing computer aided dispatch software to American public safety agencies including ambulance, fire and police.

Since early 1997, King USA and American TriTech have collaborated to integrate their product lines. Recently, King USA and American TriTech successfully installed a mobile data system, including automatic vehicle location, for a division of American Medical Response, an ambulance service with over 4,000 ambulances. The AMR system combines American TriTech VisiCad ambulance software, Trimble GPS receivers and Motorola's two-way radio, all integrated through King's KDT5000 mobile data system.
