Jim L - B-CDMA is a joint project of three companies none of which are Qualcomm. From memory they are Samsung, InterDigital, and ? . They might infringe on some of Qualcomm's patents (and thus may have to pay a small royalty), but it is at best a very small revenue stream for Qualcomm since it was developed independently and is not IS-95 compliant.

To All; I, too, have a genreal question and would appreciate some feedback. This affects QCOM, which is a favorite of mine. A new company, going public in abut two years is building stratospeheric platforms for making wireless communication available worldwide: skystation.com
I would appreciate any persons visit to their site and some feedback as to the competition and viability of this group. They have raised substantive amounts of money from around the world, have brought on key persons from the 'right' background and will place the first platform up by 2000. I know one or more of the key persons and would be interestd in your thoughts.
