So many callers make it very clear that they may listen very closely...but understand very little. Amazing how the brain so often hears only what it wants to hear.

Right. Many times I have heard investors (real investors, mind you -- not those "heating oil, unleaded gasoline futures" types!) call in with some ideas of their own and when Brinker suggests a better alternative and gives the reasoning behind it, they say, "OK, thanks a lot", and hang up. However, my feeling is that they go ahead and pretty much do whatever they had originally in mind anyway.

Dipy.

I have heard Bob get very annoyed at callers complaining about local commercials since as he has pointed out he has no control over this. If he did it would be inapropriate for him to alienate his affiliates since he doesn't own ABC and Disney. As to the wuestion of these lowlife hawkers trying to make it seem like Bob approves I think they just want to advertise on a financial show where there's a lot of willing bait. If they listened to the show they would see its a stupid place to advertise when the host of the show is telling people their kind of product is trash.
