Hello Kirk...

1893.22 (daily cash chart) is a solid fib 1.618 retrace off the high of 2019.00
...that was an earlier target of mine that I posted here
...there's a time wall on the Oct 14th
...finally your noted 200 sma
...so is a 6.4% decline enough to satisfy the street...?

Daily pitchfork holding price is downward
...price has closed below its median line and has actually fallen off so its the lower tine rests at ± 1850 an 8.3% decline

... finally there is another lower 1.618 fib at 1880.33 - (which near the 33% line of a pitchfork)
...plus I'd like to see the RSI-14 below 30
...and we have another week before the market psychology will change

So my best guess is they will not buy the 200 sma

Chip

Kirk...

Dow gained 6% from aug to sept...

Now given all that 6% back...classic pull back

...dow has a 1.618 at 16233...still a 6.4%... not enough
...dow has completed a 1.618 off a shoulder high on todays low to the penny

Todays bar hung onto the median line for the daily cash charts
...tomorrows close will be significant
...so we look lower and see the lower tine at 15850 down to 15,750 ±

Todays close is sitting on a 50% retrace from the yearly low
There is a median line off that spread sitting lower at 16100 to 16000

Since the public is out of these markets -- en-mass -- they're only playing with each other
Any shake up is about inventory promises to customers and not about a nervous public or news stories

Only story is how far they've agreed to go down... what are the lower feeder promises
...so I believe any close below todays close and off the median line in the next couple of days will give us the answer

Got any Ideas...?

I will look at the futures later tonight or tomorrow for gaps etc...
