You can also store a number sequence on your phone keypad for one touch dialing. Most offices and many homes have this feature on their phones. The extra numbers are a non-issue for most people.

Tim is right, Qwest doesn't need internet telephony, but they can offer it more cheaply than telcos because of their fiber.

If you have a problem with high PE's take a look at the great many of legendary companies that had high PE's like Xerox, Microsoft, and dare I say AOL (which still has a high PE fours years later). If you had bought during their IPO and held you'd have a tremendous fortune.

William J. O'Neil (founder of Investor's Daily) advises investors never to be discouraged by high PE's. You have to look at the whole picture. And in the case of QWST, you can 'ride the light'.
