Dennis, I will have to consult the local astronomical tables for the exact answer, but sunrise and sunset vary only about 1/2 hour throughout the year, with sunrise around 6 am EST and sunset about 6 pm or so each day. We are at approx. 9.5 degrees north of the equator here at the Panama Canal. I will see if I can provide more details later on. I'm sure you need this information regarding a secret request by Mr. Berman about a new location for the Equatorial versions of the Rainforest Cafe... with real rainforest decor! No more animatronics either... just more animal and parrot handlers %^). Will get back to you later on this week. Good news about RAIN developments and openings. See ya... Mel

Dennis, [off topic] At the equator the days should always be
12 hours for the same reason that the nights are much longer
in winter and there is no night in the summer in the artic.
Think about it this way: the sun always shades 1/2 the
earth, the upper and lower portions change angles, the equator
is the mid point therefore unchanging.

Would you please tell me what that report from Maxwell said,
I went nuts trying to read it. Are we OK?

regards,
rusti
