I am in MUEI at 12 and 10 5/8. I previously sold at 19.50 and 14.50. I also have bot 3 Micron PCs, just recently bot a PII 266. It is incredible to me that a company that makes such a good computer (has gazillion awards) can have so much difficulty making money. Pre-buying inventory to "make sure they have enuf stuff?" is downright stupid given the way component prices have traditionally fallen. Granted the Asian Contagion has accelerated, but one need not be a rocket scientist to see the trend in dram, HDs, modems, chip sets, etc. I do think however that there was a significant increase in advertising expense, a long needed expense which weighed heavily on this quarters results. While advertising is a normal part of selling expenses, MUEI obviously spent a lot more last quarter than ever before. and apparently they chose to expense in all as a part of normal selling expenses. The stock may well get hit on Tuesday, but I remain convinced that MUEI at 12 or 15, or 9 or 7, is an incredible bargain and will well reward investors with a perspective longer than the end of the trading day.
