American history books are filled with imaginary Americans like George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Washington's crossing the Delaware was based on Caesar crossing the Rubicon and his returning to his farm was coped from Cincinnatus. Semi-literate American subsistence farmers somehow wandered into a British library and plagiarized a false history from ancient sources. Notice how the Lincoln monument is like the temple of Zeus. Both mythical figures. And the Washington monument like giant versions of ancient stele. See how easy it is to say stupid stuff like that? BTW Charles Darwin is a mythical figure as well, a combination of Plato and Aristotle. The alleged voyage of the ridiculously named "Beagle" is drawn from the voyage of Odysseus.
