DLJ trimmed quarter estimate by 1c and still believe margin will improve, which implied DLJ believing Bay's revenue is softer than previously thought. However, this was just DLJ, the guy who said Cabletron was a buy. The important revenue estimate is the consensus from all brokers, just like the First Call consensus for earnings.
The important thing to note here is only DLJ believing revenues would not meet expectations, not the company stating it nor other analysts stating it. Out of curiosity, what is the consensus revenues expectations here anyway? Maybe, First Call should give out this revenue consensus too since it's so important.

The revenues breakdown was given in the conference call, which is accessible to individual investors.
