I'm not sure that all holds true for young companies which are making new products. One had to have "faith" in FB when they first IPO'd and then tanked. The metrics back then could not tell you how well they were going to perform financially 15 months later...

Certainly, when looking at a CSX or UNP, the criteria you are following is much more revealing.

With young companies, they might only have a horse and are hoping their business improves to the point where they can afford the cart!! In other words, the stock price will come if they run their business well.
