dozens of examples of Israel and her people being unfaithful to the God of Abraham......So what? That would be in perfect accord with the idea of cultural evolution. The exposure the Hebrews had in Babylon to formal religion on an imperial scale , i just noted for you. The point is simple & not a thing to do Babylonian's worshipping false gods or true gods but that it served as a template/lesson for the less sophisticated Hebrew group for setting up their own priest caste-system we clearly see when returning to Jerusalem.

Why don't you shut your mouth and read the bible before you criticize it? I have read this childish collection of fables and it absolutely makes no sense, is totally rediculous from any historical pov. It perhaps contains clues to the truth of the Hebrew tribe's origin, that they were small related part of the primitive Median/Kenite groups, since this is where Moses is said to have spent that '40yrs' period. Aside from its attempt to threaten, pursue policies of genocide & force conversions, it is a template for holy war, racial prejudice & endless murder. Moses is a pitiful excuse for a hero & it is clearly full simple tribal propganda, made up centuries later. Then we find the 'one true god' is crucified in the end by these same true believers in the 'true God', you have a big problem here because apparently these chosen people had learned nothing in all that 3000yrs since Abraham about the 'one true god' vs all those 'false gods'.
