Jutes supposedly came from Jutland The Jutes took over Jutland from the Charudes. I think about 300AD. That, at least is the history I learned from some from Iceland who claim to be descended from the Charude. What does seem to be clear is that the invading force at that time had a Greek religion, and once the jump was made to Norway the group combined with the native Sammi and united their Greek Gods with shamanistic fertility gods of the Sammi to create the religion inherited by the vikings.
