the wine in their glasses should be drunk in peace offering to innocent slaughtered children of Egypt. For what it's worth, something similar is part of the ceremony. Some of the wine is spilt, 10 drops , to lament the ten plagues suffered by the Egyptians. Each drop is supposed to lessen the joy of the occasion.
