"The Egyptian plagues however fell because of the pharaoh's refusal to free the Israelites. If you want to rant at someone over the plagues (which you don't believe happened anyway), you should rant at pharaoh who brought disaster on his country."

You should stick to cutting and pasting, Dumbo! It was God who hardened the Pharaoh's heart so that he had no choice but to NOT let them go. God engineered the whole thing to demonstrate to all and sundry that he had more power than the Egyptian magicians. You are going to need a larger mouth or a smaller foot!

Just stick to cutting and pasting. You're CLUELESS!

EXODUS

16 And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.

ROMANS

17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

And in the process of showing everybody what a big shot he was, he murdered innocent people like the serial killer he was.

Don't worry. It never happened. But the story is nothing to be proud od--RIGHT???

And you're such a nutcase for even arguing these fables as if they were real. There were no Hebrew tribes even existent then, let alone monotheists. If i recall correctly these people were demanding a 70day sojourn to go party with their diety(s) in the desert. What empire/ruler was going to allow this kind of 2mos extended sick leave and who cares anyways? As the story unfolds they were far better off in Egypt than wandering lost anyways, they could have still worshiped any god they pleased there. (as we see the later Hebrews did in late polytheism of Elephantine Egypt temple)
