>>NASDAQ100 March futures is soaring. It suggests that the market will open much higher. Any thoughts ?

My fears are that this is a rally based on last week's news becoming a memory and investors, this week, haven't been dealt any really negative news so far this week, and any earnings warnings are virtually expected and figured in. Also, S. Korea is showing some positive numbers again. With all that in mind, add in the historical Christmas Rally too!
Where my fear is is that this may be short lived and another round of down days may soon be ahead. But, I do believe that investors will take a step back and regroup and lower their working expectations for 1998 and become realistic again. This will lead to a slow, but steady DOW increase of about 5-8% for the 1st half of 1998.

BTW..as I type this ORCL has just ticked up to pre-open 23 3/8.

Anyway, these are just my own opinions and may change on a dime as this volatile market tries to figure itself out.

Best Luck,
Mike
