And so on and so on .... It seems to me that what is more likely needed is to question the VERACITY of that "belief", spread that information as far and as wide as possible such that when one is confronted with that "belief" it will be thrown out with the bath water. If we take the analogy of some 400 years ago (and maybe you will disagree with the topic I've chosen) when the likes of Galileo opposed the opinion of hundreds of "the Intelligentsia" that the Earth was the centre of our solar system, he was condemned as a heretic and a somewhat lunatic. But the fact that one intelligent man, basing his conclusion on scientific fact, was correct and hundreds of others were not, did not in any way influence the Earth from rotating around the central Sun. Ask someone today to believe in the "fact" that the Sun rotates around the Earth and you will be 'laughed out of court' !! The fact of the matter is that a Truth does not rely on its existence based on how many believe it or disbelieve it. A Truth is there for all eternity IRRESPECTIVE of how many concur or not. So one of the central questions to ask those who blindly follow the "doctrine" of an Isis type of organization is whether or not the Deity, that they believe is "sanctioning" their actions, is, in fact, actually doing so based on the TRUE NATURE of that Deity. Virtually every "religion" that turns towards its own "God" believes that its "God" is infinite in all respects. So therefore it's infinite in Love, Compassion, Consideration, Respect, etc.., etc... It is also regarded as the Creator of all things, including us humans. So, with that in mind, why would such a "God" have favourites among what it has created? Why would such a "God" want one group of its creations to kill another group of its creations? Why would such a "God" favour one man made(?) religion over another? For any group to say that they are killing others in the name of "whatever God" is a group of grossly misinformed maniacs, to say the least .... and, IMO, the sooner that the more compassionate and well meaning human beings do something about better educating those that are likely to fall prey to those grossly misinformed maniacs, the better it will be for future societies.
