Too true,Bob.

But getting the best deals together often involves some brinkmanship and delays are inevitable, so without any news, any increase in volume must be entirely speculative at this moment. So who are these people that have all of a sudden started trading volumes 10 times average on no news? Why would they be prepared to pay $1.25 if they could have picked the share at 0.75 on a limit order 10 days ago? Certainly no one on this thread if the posts are anything to go by, is buying at the moment. It is just that I dont find the "someone knows something" theory to have been accurate in the past.

On a different subject: on Metastock I have a neat little indicator plotted by Rsquared/Std deviation of the closing price, which basically boils down to trending/volatility, therefore if trending is strong and volatility low (basically indicating all investors agreeing on a price, then that is very often the market bottom. This generates quite excellent buy signals - try it if you use metastock. Unfortunately it does not tell you when the share will rise.

The reason I am mentioning this, is that wavx generated the largest such buy signal ever just last week in the 5 days before the share went from 75 to 130. Last time it gave such a signal was just before (2-3 weeks) the share went from $1 to 3.5 last year.

This buy signal is ususally followed by a rally (which this may be) before another dip down to the bottom, which I am hoping to load up in.

All of this may be wiped off the board, if as you say, wave makes a major announcement.

Regards
paul
