You should try a little real research for a change, Babylonians / Mesopotamian stories are where a large part of your religion truely comes. As for allusions citing them as an example of kings & empires reaching too far then sufffering humiliating falls, what on earth happened to the Hebrews by comparison? If one just takes the Hebrews by themselves you might as well give it up for Darwin is God as far as that tale of evolutionary tears goes.

Babylonian/ Akaddians had a fully developed writing system & vocabulary both men & women learned, mathematics, astronomy, law system, libraries, temples & well developed philosophies when Abraham wasn't even a zygote. Also the earliest Greek philosophers & later astronomers were probably taught in large part by them early on, so theres a very big connection. Along with Egypt as well.
