Yes, I read the link you posted and didn't see any studies with the requisite level of scientific veracity to substantiate the claim.

I know plenty of people who have survived Lyme disease, including myself. So the death rate from Lyme is considerably lower than 100%. If detected very early, most Lyme is defeated with antibiotics.
