About the same here in California. We hired the Chinese to build the California Central Railroad... today they want to bid to build our high speed rail system and finance it to boot. They're an industrious lot. NO, that is an understatement... THEY ARE A FORCE OF NATURE. Where I was raised I never saw any Chinese people except at a Chinese take-out --- not very common breed in my neck of the woods.... same with blacks. Went to school and never saw a black kid until 7th or 8th grade... and he was the only one all the way through high school. Interesting, but I am trying to think if I can ever remember an Chinese student in school up through 12th grade and - honestly - I cant. Remember that black guy though -- couldnt miss him. the parents are telling the kids to get back to the books that they are working diligently to help pay for sure they are..... but are they listening??? If its anything like the demonstrations we've had in the US [occupy wall street] I assume it will just fizzle out.
