do not see the problem

the 'plan' was devised w/ britain, and enshrined in the basic law

we are supposed to not-notice, per the usual nyt, wsj, cnn etc that not a single government in the world has claimed china broke the sino-british treaty re hong kong, because should any claim such, the lie would be too easily exposed

and so the usual prefer to lie by a different route
