the Amarna letters confirm what the Bible says about the early monarchy in Israel.....Not even close, these late Bronze age letters show most all of Judah being under Egyptian control thru Canaanite vassals serving them. In fact one could just call that sparsely populated region the 'Canaan Highlands', of small petty Canaanite chiefdoms, what are known as 'Hebrews' don't even figure into those earlier Amarna Lettter period, so even this Moses is a fiction, and all these primitive Canaanites then were loyal to & serving Egyptians 1500-1200BC . So blows the Moses story... Using the most respected archaeologists from Tel Aviv Unviersity & Israel as my sources (Finkelstein), as well many many other secular scholars today, there was not even the populations or recognizable stable ruling administrations for that region of Jerusalem highlands till 800BC or the mid iron age. The effects & influence of Egypt on the region in the late bronze age mentioned above is absolute, so comes your proverbs & other wisdom templates & religious origins.
