I think you'd be lucky to find 1 out of 10 people in Silicon Valley that agree with Obamacare or who think high taxes and a massive food stamp and welfare nanny state are keys to prosperity. I work with Silicon Valley staff all the time and they are a very self-reliant bunch. A lot more like early Americans and a lot more Capitalist than the Ivory Tower Democrats on this thread. The typical SV type is a Social Liberal and an economic and monetary conservative, just like me. The more successful they are, the more that stereo type proves to be true. Do you think the inventor of BitCoin thought QE was a good idea? Doubt it. Only idealists and ideologues are drawn to unworkable things like Socialism and beggar thy neighbor policies like money printing and ZIRP.
