I actually liked Ronald Reagan--a lot. The American People put him in at exactly the right time, IMO.

He was really good in King's Row. And actors have to be pretty smart to understand different points of view--which is what acting is about. I always look in their eyes and try to assess if I can tell whether they are acting or not. In King's Row...he came off really really well.

He is one of the few politicians I truly believe was sincere and truly seeking a good beyond his own ego.

I am listening to that speech you linked right now--5 minutes in. Past the left or right to the up or down! Great speech, eh!

He looks down for 1 second every half minute without pause as he accurately makes full sentences and complete paragraphs! And then (eventually) along came Dubbya with his pregnant pauses while he tried to remember his name! Actually, I liked him too! You can't saw sawdust and entertainment is a part of history!

24+ minutes in , a great quote from Alexander Hamilton and Reagan (former Democrat) referring to our "well-meaning Liberal friends". This is statesmanship!

Then we come back to SI to hear from trolls and angry, uneducated youngsters! Oh well! C'est la vie!

When these kids come on with their strident rage taken in by a sadistic troll, I think of songs like this!

Evolution at work!

"Camouflage relies heavily on blending an object into the surrounding area both by mimicking the color and the patterns found around the object. Any skill at detecting problems in the coloration or pattern give the observer an immediate advantage in locating camouflaged prey or enemies. To that end, the U.S. Army discovered that colorblind men were excellent at detecting camouflaged enemy equipment and installations because their brains were more inclined to examine and match patterns (since color data wasn’t as reliable or accurate for them). When shown photos of locations with hidden enemies and their equipment, they were able to find them faster and more consistently than their non-colorblind counterparts.

Colorblindness affects roughly 8% of men versus 0.5% of females. Evolutionary biologists have argued that the ability to see camouflaged prey and hunt it more easily must have served men well enough for it to be preserved as a trait in a larger percentage of the male population."
