Interesting to see what they do. Costs to demo not cheap plus you have back RE taxes. I bet many of them they can remodel completely for $25-40k that could make sense for them.. From my experience land residual values for developing ghetto lots are zero without some type of gentrification going on or substantial assistance from government and non profits to make the numbers work.. Also possibility for rezoning to higher density or possible changes in future land use on assemblage of lots on certain streets.

Of course is also possible it is a humanitarian type billionaire trying to do good and just happy to demo everything, help the city generate tax revenues and keep it as open green space or possible urban home grown farmland that I hear is really catching on there..
