Saving and investing has been the story of my life. I wasn't taught it by my parents. I just took to it on my own. Now I'm going to mention something I actually remember reading back in 1972 ... How to Buy Stocks by a guy named Engel. I actually remember reading this (don't remember what was in it and its long gone now) and started doing it in 1975 (remember the first purchases that year - ADP, PEP, and XON now XOM - still owned). Saved about half my take home pay from mid 70's till I got married in 1984.
