Now a second home might be nice, BUT it would need to be in a different state, with a different climate .... if your second home was in Arizona, now that would be impressive. Or New England and Florida, Wyoming and Texas, Alaska and Hawaii. But two houses nearby? Why? Why do people want to fly to the Moon or Mars? Why do people go SCUBA diving? Because people have a diversity of interests! We are fortunate here in the Seattle area to have so many options. I can be sailing on Puget Sound and a couple hours later be skiing up at Stevens Pass or Crystal mountain. You can't do that in Texas! Different strokes for different folks...
