Moonray, now that you bring it up, I think that ASND management has floated these very rumors themselves. I think it would serve their own purposes of boosting the stock price for a little longer to take some of the sting out of some of these shareholder suits, get themselves into a new year to grant themselves some more options, and fend off any actual buyout interest by having a higher stock price. Sort of like a football team calling time out, to stretch out the game so they can be employed a while longer.

In any buyout, I don't think senior ASND manmagement will be retained, for other than cosmetic reasons.

Otoh, their business results may yet improve and they could continue a little longer until the next stumble. But I am always suspicious of connections when there is the irresistable lure of personal benefit.
