Relevant to investing, I am always amazed at the number of message board participants that sincerely believe that their particular stock only ever goes down because it is somehow being "manipulated." Of course when it goes up, there is no mention of any such manipulation. I suppose it is some sort of defense mechanism in the face of randomness. I guess conspiracy theorists are a devout subset of the "true believer" group. Peter
