As a salesman, cellualr phones are essential to business and provides an economical tool to increase productivity. In addition, online costs for digital is driving down useage costs. An investment in Digital hardware is a produtivity enhancement as well as cost reduction for analog users. IMO this holds for Asia as well. Personal usage might be seen as a luxury but a very inexpensive one at that. Regarding Cisco inventory. I've been informed inventory build up is part of their business plan to go after the lower end small network. This dictates a larger inventory of off the shelf type product.
