"Here in the US, we just pulled back from the brink with QE, " We were there for 5 or 6 years, hopping on one leg while blindfolded, without falling. Sounds like you are more afraid of heights than I am. "If we get hit with another recession right now, our own Fed could reintroduce QE " They will have to, cuz Congress won't do anything about a jobs program. The other possibility is that we won't have one for another 11 years, under the first R pres in 16 years, and the R's in Congress will scream for a jobs bill.
