The author of your article also stated in closing:

I wish I could say that Democrats have taken the high road by presenting their own fresh ideas. I can't. Mostly, they threaten voters with scary descriptions of what Republicans would do on social and economic issues if given more power.

We're being asked to vote out of resentment and grim duty. So much for what Lincoln called "the better angels of our nature."

Yup, but at least the problem is acknowledged.

I knew this in the 1980's now Limbaugh, Styen and even you know it. The first step in solving a problem is to know there is a problem.

Ayn Rand said that the nomination of McGovern was a declaration of war by the Left on America. She also said that his defeat was either a magnificent sunset or glorious sun rise in the American republic. She didn't know which. I do not also.

Historically, no country has recovered from such a trend. But, then again, the US is THE nation of the Enlightenment. The United States of America was a creation of the Enlightenment.

The hope for the US and the world is that the Enlightenment values which while fading in the US, maybe, just maybe be able to save humanity from another dark ages which the Left is trying so hard to achieve.

I, however, think that the world is headed for another dark age, but one cannot surrender good to evil.

This election will delay but not stop evil but it may buy enough time to educate people on what they value and why they should not continue such.

Btw, any guesses on why the FEC wants to regulate the internet and political speech? Any guesses?
