The leftist dogma is anti corporate. They seize every opportunity to criticize corporations. Tax arrangements are simply low hanging fruit for them.

I have been advised by multiple successful businesspersons to never invest to take advantage of tax advantages. They told me (and others who would listen) to make sound investing decisions. Then they advised to take advantage of tax loopholes that happen to coincide with good investment decisions.

I agree with you that taking advantage of tax loopholes is good business, but believe that arranging one's affairs simply to get tax breaks is most often unwise. Remember that loopholes and preferences can be taken away as easily as they are created. Politicians are capricious.

Judge Hand is correct. I would say that paying taxes owed is one's patriotic duty. Tax evasion is illegal and can land one in jail. Tax avoidance is every American's right and is also patriotic.

Hypocrisy about tax avoidance is simply hypocrisy. Many leftists (like the Pelosi beast) practice tax avoidance and then target others for doing the same thing.
