OFF Topic.

Blue semiconductor lasers like those being developed by Nichia in Japan are optimized for completely different applications as you point out. So this technology has no impact on Cymer in any way. Just FYI,however, you may be surprised to find out that the production cost of current infrared semiconductor lasers for CD players and CD-ROMs is actually only about $1.00 and 80 percent of that cost is packaging.
