<You mean how many jobs did Shrub fritter away in '08? Plenty.<

No, I mean that the economy was growing and jobs were plentiful during the Bush years.. until 2007 when the Democrats took over both the House and the Senate. Then, the economic calamity began. If it was Bush's fault, then why was there six years of Prosperity under Bush and Republican control (4) years of both the House and Senate. When things like the economy change, you look to see what changed along with them..

In this case.. Same President.. But a whole new control in Congress with the Democrats controlling both the House and Senate beginning in Jan. 2007.

<How does the Myth stack up against Obama? Tied, cuz Obama is a Raygun Republican, which is why I voted for Bernie Sanders.<

LOL!! Obama is far, far from a Reagan Republican.. He is way out on the Left side.

But then there is GDP, debt, and spending. Combining GDP relative to debt is the most common measure for these two.

Average yearly debt to GDP increase: Reagan: 7.83%; Obama, 4.84%

Nice try.. in the end you can attempt to spin it anyway you want. But, for the vast majority of the Electorate. They see two things.

Reagan = 1.5 Trillion over 8 years.
Obama = (estimate)10 Trillion over 8 years.

Good luck with your increase in GDP explanation.

<Yes, the guy noted for “small government”, had a 61.7% greater rate of increase in the debt/GDP (that is the debt increased far more relative to GDP output), and outspent the communist (rate of increase) by nearly 9 times. <

And by doing so, provided Domestic Tranquility to the Electorate as our largest Cold War adversary crumbled in front of the world.

The effects of the failure of the Soviet Union had profound effects on issues in our own Hemisphere. Like The War in Honduras. With fledgling financial / military support from the Soviet Union. The War quickly disintegrated. Cuba?? Well, Cuba literally fell off of our radar post the Soviet Union. Thrown into Economic Collapse with the retreat of the funding of the Soviet Union. Which led in part to Castro allowing those which may have been seen as a "draw on the Cuban economy" to migrate to the US (see Mariel Boatlift).
