Xiaomi' 220% growth vs CRAPple's 15%, while the smartphone market is growing at 27%....LMFAO... Too funny... You bet Xiaomi is kicking CRAPple's but.

Xiaomi is growing at an incredibly fast pace. This Chinese manufacturer is currently China’s number one OEM and third globally, which is quite an achievement for Xiaomi. There’s lots more room for improvement though, Xiaomi is in the middle of expansion to Brazil (and South America) they’re more and more active in India and the company is planning to open shop in Russia as well. That would basically cover the 4 biggest markets in the world and if Xiaomi manages to go through with those plans, Samsung might be in for quite the battle. Xiaomi Mi4 is company’s current flagship, this is a great device which comes at an incredibly affordable price, which is Xiaomi’s business model in a way. Anyhow, we’ve been hearing a lot of rumors regarding a cheaper version of that device which would go head-to-head with Meizu MX4, which has been selling like crazy ever since it launched in September.

Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun, just confirmed that fact via his official Weibo account. Xiaomi will release a special edition version of Xiaomi Mi4 and the handset will cost 1799 Yuan ($294) which is, surprise, surprise, Meizu MX4’s price. Xiaomi’s CEO didn’t share any specs details with us except the fact the device will come sporting 2GB of RAM and 4G LTE connectivity. Let’s see what else Xiaomi might pack into this handset. Internal memory might also be trimmed down, current Mi4 is available with 16 and 64GB variants, this cheaper version might sport 16 and 32GB or Xiaomi might opt for 16GB version only. As far as processor goes I’m really not sure. The original Mi4 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 chip, Xiaomi might opt for it again, or it might go with a 64-bit processor this time around, Snapdragon 615 perhaps (like the one that is rumored for the new Redmi Note)? I really don’t know, I doubt the company will opt for a MediaTek chip considering the original Mi4 didn’t sport it either, but we’ll see. I believe Xiaomi will keep the 13 and 8-megapixel cameras the current Mi4 is sporting. This device is expected to go on sale before the end of the year, it will probably be ready for the holiday season.
