Eagle man,
Jan 40 c was cheaper earlier due to an old quote. A new quote only comes up when there is a new trade. Let me intrepret this for ya: Just enter your ticket symbol, you see PRICE, BID, ASK. Price was the last trade and there goes the 2 3/4 you saw...that was from yesterday. Bid is the current bid if you sell immediately, and ask is the current ask.

To sell your covered call, you should look at the most current bid.

Good luck on finding those arbitrage plays. In this "efficient" market, that never happens.

I advice you to sell that covered call on Wednesday or before the end of Thursday latest. This depends on the price action and volume (which determines when the MMs run out of stock and finished selling short)
