By that metric a Republican "wave" is a near impossibility.

To keep the goalposts from moving you need to consider the races that were considered bellwethers before the polls closed. By a reasonable definition it was about as much of a wave election as you could get.

YOu guys are in denial apparently. YOu're all wanting to discount the events of Tuesday as though it never happened.

It the president wants any success going forward he's going to need to a little bit humble.
