During lesser demand periods one must raise prices to cover fixed and variable expenses. During the last recession, my competition lowered their prices while I increased ours...the only way to maintain necessary revenues is by increasing the price to match declining volume. My competition is in bankruptcy and must sell.
They never went to business school and did not know what to do. We expanded and hired the best talent available because they were available due to the recession. Two different approaches. One killed them...
