It couldn't be any slower. KitKat was at 1.8% in 60 days vs iOS 8 at 56% in 52 days.

KitKat had slower penetration than Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean, Gingerbread and Froyo.

Android Lollipop 5.0 release day is not till November 12 and Motorola is already out with the update to their Moto X & Moto G. LG, Samsung, Motorola, Sony, Meizu, Xiaomi, Lenovo, HTC have all shown Lollipop running on their hardware with most promising the update by the end of the year. So while phone updates are getting faster on Android, phone updates are getting slower on Apple's iPOS...
