I read the entire article. The problem started not with Chase but with Washington Mutual and their ties within America.

That does not negate the fact, that investors but particularly homeowners who also invested in their individual homes and collectively. lost millions of dollars.

This is not to say that Chase should take no responsibility for the debacle. In some respects Chase became the fall guy as they were sought to solve the crisis in the mortgage market due to such firms as Washington Mutual, Freddie and Fannie.

Then there is the big question, ---------were there non-citizens working for JP and or Freddie and/or Fannie or Washington Mutual ---------employing non-citizens.
