Hang out in leftist internet environments, and you will discover a toxic bath of irrational hatred for the Judeo-Christian tradition.

You have Hellenes on the brain .... you read stuff praising Hellenic civilization and then decide all that's good was invented by them.

And if you can find a Greek name for something it means Greeks invented it. So David playing a lyre becomes a Greek lyre, he must have copied it from the Greeks who probably taught him how to play it ... cause lyre is a Greek word. And that means no one but Greeks could possibly play such an instrument. Agape, a Greek word for love, means Greeks invented the idea of love. And on and on.

Ditto for synedrion and synagogue ... using names derived from Greek for something means the Greeks gave them the idea. Never mind that most cultures had harps and lyres and judges and councils and houses of assembly w/o copying them from Greeks. No, once you put a Greek title on it, it never existed before Greeks invented it. That's Marsian history.
