I agree with you DuckTape. You can see the BLS projections here and they clearly state the magnifying effect of Baby Boomer Retirement:

However, my key point has always been that the Fed is fighting the wrong battle. They think that printing money will reverse the aging process? Not likely. The key problem we have is that more and more people are becoming TAKERS instead of MAKERS. When more people are drawing on government benefits than are paying into the system, then deficits and debt increases, growth decreases, and standards of living decrease. The Fed and our Keynesian leaders are attempting to combat this trend with more debt, more money printing, and more welfare. It's like throwing gasoline on the fire. The only thing we can do is let the markets adjust and let the economy find a new smaller equilibrium. It is fundamentally immoral to impoverish our children so that older people can ride high off into the sunset.
