Thanks for your reply. I now only trade the S&P's and stocks, although in the past I think at one time or other I've traded about every commodity around. I've always preferred to be an S&P position trader but with the many opening gaps we've had this year, I've leaned towards MOC. I've tried many S&P mechanical systems(some of my design and others I bought) but haven't found any that are better than what I'm doing now.
I try to keep things as simple as I can, watching several S&P time frames(3 to 60 min) but mostly trading off a 10 or 15 min chart. I put six moving averages on each chart to show the trend and 4 indicators to show direction changes and divergences. But, I think the 2 things I concentrate on most are Trend and stop placement.
I can see the trend but the stops are tricky. Sometimes, its almost like the floor has a laser gun to shoot your stops.
Regards,
Clay.
