One of the factors that I mentioned was "education".

I believe that it is true that in many cases there is a bit of a disconnect between the skills people have, (what they may have been 'trained for'), and the skills that are desired by the companies who have job openings.

And, there are now, in many areas, a *lot* of unfilled job openings.

Companies are reporting that much of the unemployed job seekers are not ABLE to step into positions because of lack of relevant skills.

Particularly with many high tech jobs.

The job market is always in ferment, but perhaps much more than normal right now....

Many workers have skill sets acquired from dieing / declining industries and need retraining of more educational opportunities to be able to satisfy what these companies are looking for.

A 'helping hand' here would go a long, long way to help the ENTIRE NATION prosper for a long long time.

An investment with a big payback.
