Joey, Let's see if I can pose the question a different way. If a thousand people in my local area want to go out to diverse sites on the web via POTS modem, the telco central switch can handle this with no problem, and a thousand people get serviced simultaneously. If a thousand people on cable want to got out to diverse sites, and if the cable head-end also goes out to the web through the switched network, do you really believe the cable provider gives a thousand simultaneous links to the network? See, that's where I'm confused. How does the cable company get into the switched network? Hey, Paul Engel, why not jump in here and give us your tech input? Gene
