Joey, Let's see if I can pose the question a different way. If a thousand people in my local area want to go out to diverse sites on the web via POTS modem, the telco central switch can handle this with no problem, and a thousand people get serviced simultaneously.
If a thousand people on cable want to got out to diverse sites, and if the cable head-end also goes out to the web through the switched network, do you really believe the cable provider gives a thousand simultaneous links to the network? See, that's where I'm confused. How does the cable company get into the switched network?
