Anti-American Progressives Cancel Veterans Day Ceremony at School for First Time in 80 Years
..................................................................
TPNN ^
| 11/11/14 | Matthew Burke

The poisonous progressive agenda has oozed into a school district in Wisconsin which has caused the cancellation of a traditional Veterans Day ceremony that has been held since the 1930's.

The main reason the anti-Second Amendment leftists have banned the annual event, is because a 21-gun salute is conducted as part of the ceremony, and the controlist educators are worried that some people may feel an “uneasiness,” even though blanks, not real bullets are used in the rifles.

“There are just some conditions that we have to adhere to and the shooting of guns, even with blanks, is something we don’t feel is appropriate given society, and the concerns that we have and that community has, on school premises,” said Tim Libham, the Executive Director of Administration for the Eau Claire School District, as reported by WEAU.

The school district got blasted on its Facebook page from outraged citizens and veterans for their anti-American intolerance. :

Former FBI Assistant Director Slams Holder as "Chief Among Antagonists" in Ferguson...

Townhall.com ^ | November 14, 2014 | Katie Pavlich

Full title: EXCLUSIVE: In Scathing Letter to Obama, Former FBI Assistant Director Slams Holder as "Chief Among Antagonists" in Ferguson

As the Senate prepares to hold confirmation hearings for new Attorney General nominee Loretta Lynch and as outgoing Attorney General Eric Holder continues to allocate Department of Justice resources to the situation in Ferguson, former FBI Assistant Director and Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund President Ron Hosko has sent a scathing letter to President Obama detailing the damage done to the relationship between law enforcement and DOJ over the past six years.

"The hyper-politicization of justice issues has made it immeasurably more difficult for police officers to simply do their jobs. The growing divide between the police and the people – perhaps best characterized by protesters in Ferguson, Mo., who angrily chanted, “It’s not black or white. It’s blue!” – only benefits of members of a political class seeking to vilify law enforcement for other societal failures.

"This puts our communities at greater risk, especially the most vulnerable among us," Hosko wrote in the letter. "Your attorney general, Eric Holder, is chief among the antagonists. During his tenure as the head of the Department of Justice, Mr. Holder claims to have investigated twice as many police and police departments as any of his predecessors. Of course, this includes his ill-timed decision to launch a full investigation into the Ferguson Police Department at the height of racial tensions in that community, throwing gasoline on a fire that was already burning. Many officers were disgusted by such a transparent political maneuver at a time when presidential and attorney general leadership could have calmed a truly chaotic situation."

In Ferguson law enforcement officials are bracing for violence and riots ahead of a Grand Jury decision about whether to prosecute Police Officer Darren Wilson for the killing of Michael Brown. Wilson says he shot Brown in self-defense after Brown went for his gun during a struggle in the police car. According to an official autopsy, Brown was shot at close range and had gun powder residue on his hand, indicating the struggle in the car did in fact happen and that Brown reached for Wilson's gun.

The official county autopsy, which was performed by Dr. Gershom Norfleet, showed Brown was shot in the hand at close range based on the finding of “foreign matter ‘consistent with products that are discharged from the barrel of a firearm,’” in a wound on Brown’s hand, the Post-Dispatch reports. "[This] guy is reaching for the gun, if he has gunpowder particulate material in the wound,” Dr. Judy Melinek, a forensic pathologist in San Francisco, told the Post-Dispatch.

The official autopsy also “did not support witnesses who have claimed Brown was shot while running away from Wilson, or with his hands up,” the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. These witness statements would lead protesters to raise their hands in a stance of surrender while facing police during demonstrations, chanting “Hands up, don’t shoot.”

Brown's being shot in the hand at close range appears to confirm the account Wilson told to investigators—that Wilson and Brown had “struggled for Wilson’s pistol inside a police SUV and that Wilson had fired the gun twice, hitting Brown once in the hand”—a source with knowledge of Wilson’s statements told the Post-Dispatch.
In August, Holder sent Department of Justice officials from the Civil Rights Division and dozens of FBI agents to Ferguson to investigate the case before the official autopsy was conducted and nearly suggested in a statement that Officer Wilson was guilty of a crime before any evidence was produced.

"It won’t be long before the American people turn their attention to other matters. Long after Ferguson is forgotten, police officers across America will still remember the way their senior federal executives turned their back on them with oft-repeated suggestions that race-based policing drives a biased, broken law enforcement agenda," Hosko continued.

"As we move forward with the selection and confirmation of a new attorney general, I ask that you personally reengage with the law enforcement community of dedicated and valiant men and women across the country, serving at every level of government. With two years remaining in your presidency, you have an urgent responsibility to correct damage inflicted upon law enforcement and help mend the rift between police and those they protect. The Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund will be happy to support any such discussions."

The Grand Jury report and decision from the Michael Brown case in Ferguson is expected to be released any day now.

It should be noted that before becoming President of LELDF, Hosko served as FBI assistant director under Holder until retiring earlier this year.

The man whose memory failure helped save Bill Clinton's presidency

This weekend, dozens of former top Clinton White House officials will gather in Little Rock to mark the tenth anniversary of the Clinton Presidential Library.

Among those attending will be Vernon Jordan, the legendary Washington lawyer and political fixer who was close to Bill Clinton throughout the White House years. When Clinton got himself into the worst jam of his presidency — the Lewinsky scandal — Jordan was the man he turned to for help.

Jordan helped calm a near-hysterical Monica Lewinsky, gave her advice on dealing with investigators, and found her a job. But Jordan's most valuable service to the president came during the scandal's grand jury investigation, when he testified under oath that he could not remember key events in the Lewinsky matter — events in which he had played a central role. Jordan could have told the grand jury a lot about Clinton's activities, but he chose to remain silent.

Now, his memory greatly improved, Jordan will be among other Clinton veterans in Little Rock, reminiscing about his years close to the White House.

Saint Louis University gives students protesting tips ahead of Brown verdict
...................................................................................................................
The College Fix ^ | November 18, 2014 | Nathan Rubbelke at St Louis University

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Saint Louis University officials recently sent students tips on how best to protest if they choose to take part in possible unrest as a result of the Ferguson grand jury decision, expected in the next week or so.

An administrator at the private college – a 20 minute drive from Ferguson – urged students to “travel in groups” if they protest in an email that also linked to several protest primers with tips on what to do if tear gassed or arrested, among other advice.

“We understand that a group of protest organizers are working hard to ensure that planned demonstrations are civil and non-violent,” Dr. Kent Porterfield, vice president for student development, said in the email sent to students Nov.12. “But we also recognize, despite their best efforts, they may not be able to control the few who wish to cause trouble.”

“[T]he university is planning for various scenarios,” Porterfield adds, noting officials may restrict visitors on campus, including in residence halls, and will consider cancelling classes if protests occur near the urban campus. He did not specify how close to campus protests would have to occur for these measures to be taken.

Porterfield, in his email, also hyperlinked to a generic “protest prep” memo under the disclaimer that “this information is for reference only and does not specifically address any possible protests or demonstrations in our region.”

“We go into a protest knowing that there is a chance that we will get arrested, tear gassed, shot with rubber bullets, or billy clubbed,” stated that “protest prep” memo, which suggested “bandannas soaked in vinegar (1:15 ratio) or lemon juice in a plastic baggie helps neutralize tear gas in the event of a spraying.”

The memo also offered a list of do’s and don’ts.

Do bring: pen and paper; video cameras and tape recorders; warm clothes, extra socks, boots and sealed eye goggles; water and energy snacks; and duct tape, the memo says. But don’t bring an address book, illegal drugs, weapons or contact lenses, it adds.

The memo also includes tips on legal advice.

“If someone is being arrested, try to write down the badge # of the officer (if they have it on), and video tape it if you can,” it states. “Indy media and other organizations can use this footage, and it could potentially be used by the lawyers in suits against the cops.”

Other advice sent to students included links to “How to protest safely” and the ACLU’s “Know Your Rights: Demonstrations and Protests.”

Saint Louis University made national headlines last month when it was the site of a six night sit-in called “Occupy SLU.”

It came about as the result of protests following another police-related shooting in the nearby Shaw Neighborhood of St. Louis. The protesters, many of whom were not students, left the campus last month after SLU’s president, Dr. Fred Pestello, agreed to their demands.

The university promised an increased budget for the African American studies program, more financial resources to retain African American students, establishment of a community center, and development of an academic “Center for Community and Economic Development.”

Now, anxiety and uncertainty grips the university as it awaits the grand jury’s decision on the Michael Brown officer-involved shooting death.

There were mixed reactions to last month’s sit-in, with some who believe the university did the right thing and others who thought officials caved. These mixed feelings have also been detected in the school’s planned response to possible violence regarding the grand jury decision.

Saint Louis University junior Julie Gales, a public health major, said she felt Porterfield’s memo was too much.

“I think maybe (the letter) feeds into the fear,” she told The College Fix. “Cancelling classes is kind of extreme to me. I don’t think it’s necessary. I don’t think we need a response as drastic as that.”

Other students have supported the administration’s response. Junior Robert Tosie, a criminal justice major, said he appreciated Porterfield’s letter because of its transparency.

“I was more in line with Porterfield’s email than with the president’s past emails, mostly because the president’s emails don’t really allude to the fact that bad things could happen,” he said.

Both Gales and Tosie said they are fine with the university allowing students to protest the grand jury’s decision on campus.

“Students definitely have the right to peacefully protest,” Tosie said.

Porterfield, in his email, told students not to let non-students on campus this time around.

“Please do not invite or expect anyone other than SLU students, faculty and staff to participate,” he stated.

Holder Drops Death Penalty For Accused Cop Killers
..................................................................................................
Investors.com ^ | November 18, 2014 | IBD Editorial

Eric Holder, who dropped the New Black Panther case and almost had a defender of cop-killer Mumia abu-Jamal as an assistant, takes the death penalty off the table for four alleged Virginia cop-killers.

The National Guard has not been called up, Al Sharpton has not made an appearance, and neither have 40 FBI agents been dispatched to ensure the convictions of the four gang members who allegedly murdered a Virginia police officer.

Nor will there be riots and looting if they are acquitted.

When cops are the victims instead of the accused, a different standard of social justice seems to apply.

Waynesboro, Va., is not Ferguson, Mo., and 45-year-old reserve Virginia police officer Kevin Quick is not Michael Brown, shot and killed by Ferguson officer Darren Wilson.

In February, officer Quick never made it after he texted his girlfriend that he was on his way to see her.

According to police, Quick was set upon by three siblings and a fourth man, and was carjacked, kidnapped and taken from bank to bank to withdraw money using his own debit card at gunpoint before being shot to death.

His body was found in a wooded area in Goochland County six days later.

Siblings Daniel Mathis, Shantai Shelton and Mersadies Shelton have been charged along with a fourth man, Kweli Uhuru, in a federal indictment that lists them as members of a street gang called the "99 Goon Syndicate," an offshoot of the infamous "Bloods" gang, and allegedly committed the murder to climb in the gang ranks.

The alleged killers now await trial, which is currently set for May 4, 2015.

Racist Eric Holder is without a doubt the sorriest excuse for an AG this nation has ever had.

Not because in this case the victim was an LEO but because he was a human being killed in a premeditated murder by racist scum. Here's three of them.

I guess I don’t get it... I thought murder was a state crime. Why would Holder have anything to say about it? Am I missing something?

I don’t know why they’re being prosecuted in federal court other than it may be because it’s a gang related murder of a police officer.

"I guess I don’t get it... I thought murder was a state crime. "It's a State crime in NY State, even for law enforcement personnel. Look at who's Governor of Va., and you've got your answer as to why this was done.

NYT: SHARPTON MONEY PROBLEMS MOUNT...

Obscured in his ascent, however, has been his troubling financial past, which continues to shadow his present.

Mr. Sharpton has regularly sidestepped the sorts of obligations most people see as inevitable, like taxes, rent and other bills. Records reviewed by The New York Times show more than $4.5 million in current state and federal tax liens against him and his for-profit businesses.
